Our design to prototype service can help you realise that idea into a working prototype.
Firstly we will talk with you about the idea EXPAND. We will take any drawings or previous prototypes that you mayhave.
We will conduct the research into the product, the market and the intended use. We will review the intended use andmake sure we have all the ergonomic and measurement data we need to accuratelydesign the product. This often includes requires measuring existing parts or…..
With this research we will create you Design Brief and Design Specification documents to ensure that all features areincluded in our mandate for the design. This document can go back and forthuntil you are happy with the specification.
Our engineers will take your design specification and start to create the various elements of your product. Throughout the development process we will be in touch with you to ask questions that come up. We will also talk to you about any possible variations that we discover and give you the option to include them as options for later testing. We use the latest CAD software and can provide the drawing in any format.
When we have developed the product to the point of prototyping we will send you a full design update report. This report will allow you to compare the design to the agreed specification. We can then start a dialogue on any possible changes or variations that you might want tomake.
If there are changes to be made then we will go edit the design and update the report. You can have unlimited rounds of edits until you are happy to proceed.
When the design has been signed off we will get started in prototyping your product using the technology and materials that you want.
The prototype will be sent to you.
When the prototype is finished we will update your design specification report to give you a formal document about the product. This can be useful for attracting investors or taking the product to amass scale manufacturer.
If after prototyping you decide you want to make more changes or add more features, we can arrange for that separately.
